Based on the label and the fabric and after some research, I am fairly certain that this is from the 1997 collection. That collection featured knits with metallic elements. If it is not that year then I suspect that it is even earlier. It is rare to find early Dries and this dress is just a fabulous example of his work. It is a sweater dress and made of a lightweight knit that has silver thread worked through it so the dress has a subtle glint in the light. Fabric is always the start point for Dries so it is easy to understand how the design of this dress evolved as the cut takes full advantage of the properties of the knit. On the sleeves and hem the knit is a looser weave so you get a glimpse of skin peeking through - very subtly sexy. Both the sleeves and skirt flare at the point the weave of the knit changes. It is one of those pieces you just slip on and feel instantly fabulous in. It is meant to be slightly over-sized and sloppy in feel in that perfect nineties way. You can just picture Kate Moss wearing this with combats and some fab leather jacket thrown over it. Excellent, appears unworn condition.
Unlined and slips on. Tagged a large but please go by measurements - all of which are lying flat and given un-stretched - it does have quite a bit of stretch if needed
